Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Glendon Cordell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in 29 June - in July this year. In the Let Loose: Online Auction auction, the work Take Me Somewhere Magical 2 sold for HKD 203,200.00 (€ 23,639.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glendon Cordell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five Trees Standing Watch, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 537,400.00 (€ 64,413.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Glendon Cordell erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 29 June - einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Let Loose: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Take Me Somewhere Magical 2 für HKD 203.200,00 (€ 23.639,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Glendon Cordell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five Trees Standing Watch beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 537.400,00 (€ 64.413,35) versteigert wurde.
