This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 2,600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giuseppe Zigaina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Senza titolo sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of ITL 12,337,500.00 (€ 11,352.66).
