Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,474.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Piattoli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An album of thirty-six pages bound between boards, comprising compositional and academic studies, including scenes from the Old and New Testament and classical mythology, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,138.08).
