Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work The card party (recto); Profile head of a soldier wearing a helmet (verso) by Giuseppe Piattoli for USD 504.00 (€ 464.17). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Piattoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An album of thirty-six pages bound between boards, comprising compositional and academic studies, including scenes from the Old and New Testament and classical mythology in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,138.08).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An album of thirty-six pages bound between boards, comprising compositional and academic studies, including scenes from the Old and New Testament and classical mythology im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.138,08).
