Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The apotheosis of an Imperial General by Giuseppe Piattoli was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,062.50 (€ 734.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Piattoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An album of thirty-six pages bound between boards, comprising compositional and academic studies, including scenes from the Old and New Testament and classical mythology in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,138.08).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An album of thirty-six pages bound between boards, comprising compositional and academic studies, including scenes from the Old and New Testament and classical mythology im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.138,08).
