In June 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle, which included the work Saint Matthieu by Giuseppe Passeri. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Passeri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna And Child In Glory, Attended By A Company of Angels, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,673.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Matthieu von Giuseppe Passeri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Passeri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Madonna And Child In Glory, Attended By A Company of Angels beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.673,14) versteigert wurde.
