In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900, which included the work The Madonna and Child in a fictive frame by Giuseppe Passeri. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,407.46), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Passeri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child In Glory, Attended By A Company of Angels in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,673.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child in a fictive frame von Giuseppe Passeri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.407,46) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Passeri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna And Child In Glory, Attended By A Company of Angels im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.673,14).
