Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a man, bust-length, in a white stock by Giuseppe Nogari was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2004. It achieved a price of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,320.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Nogari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Oriental Dress, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,105.97).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a man, bust-length, in a white stock von Giuseppe Nogari wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.320,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Nogari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Oriental Dress beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 19.105,97) versteigert wurde.
