In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Oriental Dress by Giuseppe Nogari. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,105.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait Of A Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing Oriental Dress is the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Nogari that we have observed at auctions so far.
