Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,726.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Giardiello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A family gathering, Naples, which sold at auction in September 2007 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).
