Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giuseppe Gallo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2019. In the Thinking Italian Evening Auction auction, the work without title sold for GBP 100,000.00 (€ 115,992.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Gallo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 367,500.00 (€ 347,419.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Gallo erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Thinking Italian Evening Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 100.000,00 (€ 115.992,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Gallo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 367.500,00 (€ 347.419,17) versteigert wurde.
