Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Veduta di Londra (The Victoria Embankment, London) by Giuseppe De Nittis was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 259,625.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe De Nittis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian l'Arc De Triomphe, Paris, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 548,750.00 (€ 624,923.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Veduta di Londra (The Victoria Embankment, London) von Giuseppe De Nittis wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 259.625,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 180.000,00 – 220.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe De Nittis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italian l'Arc De Triomphe, Paris beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 548.750,00 (€ 624.923,87) versteigert wurde.
