In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work Fishing vessels in the bay of Naples by Giuseppe Carelli. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,652.04), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Carelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vedute Della Costiera Amalfitana, which sold at auction in December 2008 for EUR 15,000.00.

Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing vessels in the bay of Naples von Giuseppe Carelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.652,04) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Carelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vedute Della Costiera Amalfitana beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert wurde.
