Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper, which included the work The Birth Of The Virgin by Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathsheba at the Bath; and The Angel Appearing to Hagar in the Wilderness in January this year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 348,130.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Birth Of The Virgin von Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathsheba at the Bath; and The Angel Appearing to Hagar in the Wilderness im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 348.130,41).
