The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,475.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathsheba at the Bath; and The Angel Appearing to Hagar in the Wilderness in January this year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 348,130.41).
