Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Head of a woman by Giulio Cesare Procaccini. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,422.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giulio Cesare Procaccini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Judith with the Head of Holofernes in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 1,134,000.00 (€ 991,085.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of a woman von Giulio Cesare Procaccini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.422,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giulio Cesare Procaccini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Judith with the Head of Holofernes im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.134.000,00 (€ 991.085,47).
