Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Christ carrying the Cross by Giulio Cesare Procaccini. The price achieved of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 513,903.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Giulio Cesare Procaccini have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2024 the work Judith with the Head of Holofernes was auctioned for USD 1,134,000.00 (€ 991,085.47).

Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ carrying the Cross von Giulio Cesare Procaccini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 362.500,00 (€ 513.903,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Giulio Cesare Procaccini konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2024 die Arbeit Judith with the Head of Holofernes für USD 1.134.000,00 (€ 991.085,47) versteigert.
