In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Madonna And Child With Saint John The Baptist And Saint Catherine by Girolamo di Benvenuto. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 173,000.00 (€ 234,925.68), 73% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Girolamo di Benvenuto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a young man, half-length, in a blue doublet and hat and a black jacket, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 445,250.00 (€ 535,362.96).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child With Saint John The Baptist And Saint Catherine von Girolamo di Benvenuto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 173.000,00 (€ 234.925,68) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Girolamo di Benvenuto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, half-length, in a blue doublet and hat and a black jacket beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 445.250,00 (€ 535.362,96) versteigert wurde.
