Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Desco Da Parto: Diana And Actaeon by Girolamo di Benvenuto. The price achieved of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 93,019.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Girolamo di Benvenuto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a young man, half-length, in a blue doublet and hat and a black jacket in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 445,250.00 (€ 535,362.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Desco Da Parto: Diana And Actaeon von Girolamo di Benvenuto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 93.019,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Girolamo di Benvenuto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, half-length, in a blue doublet and hat and a black jacket im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 445.250,00 (€ 535.362,96).
