Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Studies Of Grotesques (Recto), Studies Of Two Winged Horses (Verso) by Girolamo da Carpi was sold in the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection auction at Christies in New York in January 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,244.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo da Carpi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Bindo Altoviti (1491-1556) in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,065,250.00 (€ 3,219,404.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Studies Of Grotesques (Recto), Studies Of Two Winged Horses (Verso) von Girolamo da Carpi wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert.
