This artwork by Girolamo da Carpi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2011. In the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction, the work Studies After The Antique: A Standing Silenus, A Seated Apollo, And A Fallen Warrior sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,345.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo da Carpi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Bindo Altoviti (1491-1556) in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,065,250.00 (€ 3,219,404.39).
In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt wurde die Arbeit Studies After The Antique: A Standing Silenus, A Seated Apollo, And A Fallen Warrior für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.345,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00.
