Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work A View Of The Acropolis & A View Of The Temple Of Olympus Zeus by Giovanni Lanza. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,452.25). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Lanza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Parthenon, Athens, With Men In The Foreground Dressed In Oriental Costumes; And The Temple Of Olympian Zeus With The Acropolis In The Background, Athens, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,857.40).

Im Mai 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of The Acropolis & A View Of The Temple Of Olympus Zeus von Giovanni Lanza zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.452,25) einen neuen Besitzer.
