Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work An evangelist seated at a table, looking up from his writing by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,451.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work King David in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,244,298.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An evangelist seated at a table, looking up from his writing von Giovanni Francesco Barbieri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.451,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Francesco Barbieri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit King David im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.193.250,00 (€ 6.244.298,00).
