Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A small child seated on a stone step with his head inclined and resting his elbow on a ledge by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,612.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work King David in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,244,298.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A small child seated on a stone step with his head inclined and resting his elbow on a ledge von Giovanni Francesco Barbieri wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
