Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A group of Punchinellos watching the making of glass by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 352,800.00 (€ 411,610.67), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Tiepolo Family in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,837,000.00 (€ 4,021,913.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A group of Punchinellos watching the making of glass von Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 411.610,67) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Tiepolo Family im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.837.000,00 (€ 4.021.913,13).
