A top price for Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo - as previously expected
The work The Tiepolo Family by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 2,837,000.00 (€ 4,021,913.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Tiepolo Family is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo that we have observed at auctions so far.
