This artwork by Giovanni Boldini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector auction, the work Portrait of a Girl (recto); Portrait of a Lady in a Hat (verso) sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,180.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Boldini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,578,500.00 (€ 5,046,409.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Boldini erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Girl (recto); Portrait of a Lady in a Hat (verso) für USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.180,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Boldini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.578.500,00 (€ 5.046.409,94).
