Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, Part I, which included the work Idle Moments by Giovanni Boldini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,223.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Boldini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,578,500.00 (€ 5,046,409.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Idle Moments von Giovanni Boldini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.223,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Boldini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.578.500,00 (€ 5.046.409,94).
