Auction result well in line with expectations

In April last year Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Mary Magdalene at the tomb, with two angels by Giovanni Biliverti. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 12,020.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Biliverti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus, Cupid And Pan in January 2018 with an auction result of USD 879,000.00 (€ 707,273.90).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mary Magdalene at the tomb, with two angels von Giovanni Biliverti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 12.020,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Biliverti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus, Cupid And Pan im Januar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 879.000,00 (€ 707.273,90).
