This artwork by Giovanni Biliverti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2012. In the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work Venus, Cupid And Pan sold for GBP 541,250.00 (€ 689,407.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Biliverti; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Venus, Cupid And Pan sold at auction in January 2018 with the realized price of USD 879,000.00 (€ 707,273.90).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giovanni Biliverti; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Venus, Cupid And Pan im Januar 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 879.000,00 (€ 707.273,90).
