Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Woman In Profile Seated In A Landscape by Giovanni Biliverti was sold in the Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,346.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Biliverti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus, Cupid And Pan in January 2018 with an auction result of USD 879,000.00 (€ 707,273.90).
