In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work The Flagellation by Giovanni Battista Trotti. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,195.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Trotti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Man, Seated At A Table With An Open Book, Reading A Letter in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,882.46).

Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Flagellation von Giovanni Battista Trotti zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.195,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Trotti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Seated At A Table With An Open Book, Reading A Letter im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.882,46).
