This artwork by Giovanni Battista Lama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in December 2003. In the DIPINTI E DISEGNI ANTICHI auction, the work Venere nella fucina di Vulcano sold for EUR 8,060.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Battista Lama; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Archangel Michael sold at auction in January 2005 with the realized price of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,794.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Lama erzielte im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in Rom einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion DIPINTI E DISEGNI ANTICHI wurde die Arbeit Venere nella fucina di Vulcano für EUR 8.060,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Lama; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Archangel Michael im Januar 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.794,16).
