Horvitz Collection of Italian Drawings auction, the work A Male Nude Holding A Dagger, With A Subsidiary Sketch Of A Woman And Child At The Right Corner sold for USD 301,000.00 (€ 202,816.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Battista Franco; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Deux Études De Squelettes sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of EUR 250,000.00.
