This artwork by Giovanni Battista Foggini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2020. In the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work Horse seen from the rear, after Antonio Tempesta sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,648.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Foggini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bronze Group Of Apollo Flaying Marsyas in January this year with an auction result of USD 882,000.00 (€ 812,304.29).

In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna wurde die Arbeit Horse seen from the rear, after Antonio Tempesta für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.648,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Foggini erzielen.
