Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Denial Of Saint Peter, With A Subsidiary Study For The Same (Recto); Further Studies For The Same Composition (Verso) by Giovanni Baglione was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2013. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,007.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Baglione achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint John The Baptist In The Wilderness in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 386,324.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Denial Of Saint Peter, With A Subsidiary Study For The Same (Recto); Further Studies For The Same Composition (Verso) von Giovanni Baglione wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
