Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 VAN HAM held the auction Modern Art | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work Gladiatore. by Giorgio de Chirico. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,980.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio de Chirico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 15,890,400.00 (€ 13,643,341.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Modern Art | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gladiatore. von Giorgio de Chirico zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.980,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio de Chirico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.890.400,00 (€ 13.643.341,63).
