Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gino Marotta could be acquired at Sothebys in Milan in November 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Albero changed hands for EUR 3,125.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gino Marotta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Struzzo, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gino Marotta konnte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Albero für EUR 3.125,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gino Marotta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Struzzo beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
