Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work The Competitors; And The Secret Admirer by Gilbert Scott Wright. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gilbert Scott Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Over the Fence, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,715.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Competitors; And The Secret Admirer von Gilbert Scott Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gilbert Scott Wright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Over the Fence beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.715,77) versteigert wurde.
