Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and Early British Paintings auction, the work Poultry In A Landscape changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,763.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Storks, Mallards, Chickens, A Heron, A Frog And Other Birds In A River Landscape in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 87,832.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and Early British Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Poultry In A Landscape für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.763,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Storks, Mallards, Chickens, A Heron, A Frog And Other Birds In A River Landscape im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 87.832,97).
