Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A peacock, a pair of ducks, rabbits and a turkey in a landscape by Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online auction at Christies in New York in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 8,244.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Storks, Mallards, Chickens, A Heron, A Frog And Other Birds In A River Landscape in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 87,832.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A peacock, a pair of ducks, rabbits and a turkey in a landscape von Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 8.244,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
