Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,644.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gijsbert Gillisz. de Hondecoeter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Storks, Mallards, Chickens, A Heron, A Frog And Other Birds In A River Landscape in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 87,832.97).
