Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Artcurial held the auction Photography Collection of Amedeo M. Turello, which included the work Madagascar - 1995 by Gian Paolo Barbieri. The price achieved of EUR 2,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gian Paolo Barbieri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jill Kennington in Missoni, Port Sudan in June last year with an auction result of EUR 12,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Artcurial die Auktion Photography Collection of Amedeo M. Turello durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madagascar - 1995 von Gian Paolo Barbieri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.340,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gian Paolo Barbieri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jill Kennington in Missoni, Port Sudan im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.600,00.
