A top price for Giacomo Nani - as previously expected
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Roses, parrot tulips, delphinia, hydrangea and other flowers in a porcelain urn on a plinth with roses, tulips and other flowers in an upturned basket, in a wooded landscape; and Parrot tulips, roses, delphinium and other flowers in a sculpted urn on by Giacomo Nani. The price achieved of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 57,593.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Roses, parrot tulips, delphinia, hydrangea and other flowers in a porcelain urn on a plinth with roses, tulips and other flowers in an upturned basket, in a wooded landscape; and Parrot tulips, roses, delphinium and other flowers in a sculpted urn on is the most expensive artwork by Giacomo Nani that we have observed at auctions so far.
