Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Still Life With A Garland Of Roses, Tulips, Carnations And Other Flowers, Draped Around A Stone Urn In A Landscape by Giacomo Nani was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,250.00 (€ 4,918.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Nani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, parrot tulips, delphinia, hydrangea and other flowers in a porcelain urn on a plinth with roses, tulips and other flowers in an upturned basket, in a wooded landscape; and Parrot tulips, roses, delphinium and other flowers in a sculpted urn on in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 57,593.

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.250,00 (€ 4.918,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
