Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work Venice: The Bucintoro on the lagoon; and The Rialto Bridge by Giacomo Guardi for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 5,732.05). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Guardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Venice: The Bucintoro on the lagoon; and The Rialto Bridge von Giacomo Guardi für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 5.732,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Guardi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 148.527,04).
