Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poplar Trees Along A Road And Other Tree Studies by Gherardo Cibo was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gherardo Cibo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sketchbook with 22 leaves, bound in vellum, containing 24 studies of plants with discourses on their properties and with sketches for decorative elements in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 387,044.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poplar Trees Along A Road And Other Tree Studies von Gherardo Cibo wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.911,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gherardo Cibo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sketchbook with 22 leaves, bound in vellum, containing 24 studies of plants with discourses on their properties and with sketches for decorative elements im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 337.250,00 (€ 387.044,83).
