signed and inscribed 'Questo libretto io l'ho dipinto de tutte le piante ch' ci sono et tutte ricavate di naturale co n molta fatica mia, have n doci disignato i paesi della sorte, ch' tal piante amano, et che vi nascono naturalmente: come lochi sassosi, montuosi, selvosi, acquatici, et maritimi E credo lo principiasse del 1558. overo del .59. laus Deo semp. io Ghirardo Cibo dipinsi:' (Page 2 recto), with type-setting marks and 'Amen' added in red ink) and further extensively inscribed. Further dated '1569' (Page 1, recto) '1566' twice (Pages 21, verso and 22, recto) and '1564' (on Page 22, recto)
