The work Mountainous River Landscape With Road Through A Rock Arch And A Riverside Village by Gherardo Cibo was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2010. It achieved a price of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,660.42), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gherardo Cibo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sketchbook with 22 leaves, bound in vellum, containing 24 studies of plants with discourses on their properties and with sketches for decorative elements in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 337,250.00 (€ 387,044.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.660,42) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gherardo Cibo erzielen.
