Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Study of a lion by Géza Vastagh. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,791.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Géza Vastagh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lion and a Lioness in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 192,000.00 (€ 160,066.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a lion von Géza Vastagh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.791,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Géza Vastagh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lion and a Lioness im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 192.000,00 (€ 160.066,69).
